Although Alarich von Thüringen (1897, Schnupp x unknown) was not registered he became of some importance to the breed as the grandfather of Landgraf von Thüringen, a male of hereditary significance and sire of Hellegraf von Thüringen. The black Alarich was known for his sharp and aggressive temperament.
