Breeder:
Goswin Tischler, Apolda, Germany
| The
five-star litter bred by Tischler
(1898, Lux v. Grönland x Tilly I v. Grönland) proved that he
was the most succesfull breeder of his time. Those 5 dobermanns were the
first to be registered in National Dobermann Pinscher Stud book (Apolda).
This litter brought the breed to a higher level. Especially the stud dogs
Graf
Belling and Gref von Grönland (1898) were very infulental. Graf
Belling was a very prepoted sire active thougout Germany. Though his brother
Greif was the most infulental one being the sire of Prinz v. Ilm-Athen.
As a puppy Greif was given to O. Göller,
who, failing to recognise his potential, sold him. This was the first of
several changes of ownership for Greif. He also had his name changed by
his various owners including Greif von Weimar and Greif von Hogenstein.
Belling
and Greif were the authors and the architects of the breed.
