ILANE V. FRANCKENHORST NHSB1496850 12.9.1986 Male Colour: Black Breeder: S.D. v. Franquemont-Freudenberg, Holland Altough this black male was in 1987 youth Bundessieger his hereditary powers were not immediately recognised by the Dobermann breeders. He was a product of the v. Franckenhorst kennels and his mother was one of greatest and infulental brood bitches in Dobermann history. His sire was the son of Quarta v. Eschenhof and a Franckenhorst male called Uri. So in Ilane we have the very strong infulence of the v. Franckenhorst kennels with its power and quality. It was a good thing for the bree that Ilane was not overlooked. During the ninenties he was frequently used at stud. He was the sire of many exellent show and working dogs such Rafaele v. Les Deux Peupliers, Flydt v.d. Savelsbos, Qwary v.'t. Hof Ter Eeckhout, Gravin Nora v. Neerlands Stam. Ilane was powerful dog with strong bones. He got a nice strong head which was a little bit too coarse. He had a superb strong character with exellent prey and fighting drives. He easily passed his Schutzhund III. Although he didnot get a Champion or Sieger title he was often in the finals at the big Sieger shows. His death came suddenly and unexpectedly in 1994.
